MOTT, VERONICA L. JOHNSON 

Funeral services for Mrs. Veronica L. Johnson Mott will be held at Hixson 
Brothers Chapel in Marksville Wednesday, May 19, at 10 a.m., with Pastor Dennis 
Hackler officiating. Interment will be in Butters Cemetery in Forest Hill.

Mrs. Mott, 42, a resident of Cottonport, formerly of Alexandria, passed away on 
Sunday, May 16, 2010. She was a licensed practical nurse and employed by Valley 
View Nursing Home in Marksville. She was preceded in death by her father, James 
M. Johnson; brother, Jon Ray Wilson; and sister, Neldria Jane Soileau.

She is survived by her loving husband, Len Mott of Cottonport; one son, Dustin 
Bailey; two daughters, Destiny Landry and Dana Smith, all of Cottonport; one 
stepson, Christopher Mott; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Mott, both of 
Jacksonville, FL; mother, Neldria Cox Johnson of Marksville; two brothers, Terry 
Wilson of Clearwater, LA and Dewey Wilson of Carencro; two sisters, Patsy 
Duplissey and Jennifer Johnson, both of Clearwater, LA; and numerous nieces and 
nephews.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville Tuesday, 
May 18, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., and on Wednesday, May 19, from 8 a.m. until 
shortly before service.

Arrangements are under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in 
Marksville.
