Mr. Fase spent his early career as a tugboat captain and owner. He later retired from Young Memorial Vocational School in Morgan City, where he was head of the Marine Department. Mr. Fase was instrumental in assisting many seamen acquire their licensing. Mr. Fase had an outgoing personality and truly enjoyed and loved life. Those left behind to cherish his memories are his companion, Ms. Shirley Viola of Broussard; his daughter, Vanessa Fase Romero and her husband, Donald, of Berwick; his son, Bubba Fase and his wife, Bernadette, of Berwick; his stepdaughter, Darlene Lipari and her husband, Chris, of Patterson; six grandchildren, Jessica Fase Morella and her husband, Drew, of Humble, Texas, Maria Fase Touchet and her husband, Nick, of Abbeville, Raymond Fase Jr. and Alejandro Fase, both of Bayou Vista, Abbie Romero Paradee and her husband, Chris, of Berwick, and Cole Romero and his wife, Paula, of Bayou Vista; four step-grandchildren, Alvin Vidrine and his wife, Randa, Chantell Vidrine Eisenman and her husband, Donny, Mandy Vidrine Blocker and her husband, Roland, and Brandy Vidrine Gowan and her husband, Markie, all of Patterson; four greatgrandchildren and 11 step great-grandchildren. Mr. Fase was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Fabre Fase Price; his second wife, Theresa Myers Bernard Fase; his father, Elmer Fase; and his mother, Cammie Branson Fase. A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed today, Friday, June 18, 2010, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City. Visitation will continue Saturday, June 19, 2010, at 8 a.m. Funeral services Saturday, June 19, 2010, will begin at 11 a.m. in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mark Gowan of Word of Life conducting the service. Mr. Fase will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Ralph E. "Lucky" Fase to First United Methodist Church in Berwick, P. O. Box 60, Berwick, LA 70342. ===================
