Interment followed in the Holy Family Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday, June 13, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., and a rosary was recited in the funeral home at 7 p.m. Visitation resumed on Monday, June 14, at 8 a.m. until time of services. A lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Freyou died on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 6:05 a.m. in a New Iberia hospital. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a dear friend to all that knew her. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She is survived by her daughters, Julie Freyou Romero and her husband, Kardel, of New Iberia and Alice Freyou Freeman and her husband, Hillery, of Franklin; her brother, Freddie J. Romero and his wife, Verna, of New Iberia; her sister, Jeanette R. Hebert of Port Allen; her grandsons, Conway Paul Freeman of Franklin, Brock Joseph Romero, Ian Joshua Romero and his wife, Candi, all of New Iberia and Jordy Edward Romero and his wife, Lauren, of Lafayette; and her great grandson, Brayden Joshua Romero of New Iberia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Relies A. Freyou; her parents, Abra and Amelia Derouen Romero; and her grandson, Perry Bernard Freeman. Pallbearers will be Conway Freeman, Brock Romero, Ian Romero, Jordy Romero, Chris Boling and Dan LeBlanc Jr. David Funeral Home of New Iberia, 1101 Trotter St. (337) 369-6336 was in charge of arrangements. ===================
