Prosser was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a welder by trade and worked for Fred Settoon for many years. Prosser is survived by three sons, Ernest A. Gaspard and his wife, Carolyn "Sue," Vernon P. Gaspard and his wife, Deborah, and Lonnie D. Gaspard and his wife, Paula; one daughter, Laura G. Dupre and her husband, LeRoyal Jr.; one sister, Lovenia G. Percle and her husband, Clarence; 11 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and his godchild, Rachel McNemar. Prosser was preceded in death by his parents, Gus Sr. and Lydia Gros Gaspard; his wife, Olive Suire Gaspard; one brother, Gus J. Gaspard Jr.; one sister, Delta G. Duval; and one grandson, LeRoyal Dupre III. A time of remembrance and reflection will be observed Friday, June 25, 2010, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Church of God of Prophecy in Belle River, continuing Saturday, June 26, 2010, at 8 a.m. Funeral services Saturday, June 26, 2010, will begin at 11 a.m. at the church. Prosser will be laid to rest in the Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. ===================
