Funeral Services for Hattie Rita Penn Legnon will be held at 11am on Monday, June 28, 2010. She was a native of Charenton, La. She was a member of St. Francis & Anne's Catholic Church in Kolin and a former member of Church of the Assumption of Franklin and Sacred Heart of Baldwin. Mrs. Hattie was a retired secretary of Oceaneering in Bayou Vista, La and a secretary at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Baldwin, La. She was active in the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, first in Franklin and most recently in Kolin. She was preceded in death by parents, Eugene and Augustine Penn, her loving husband, Burke J. Legnon, her 8 brothers and sisters, Gilfred Penn, Edmond Penn, Eugene Penn Jr., Larry Penn, Helen Penn, Lou Baudoin, Augustine 'Teenie' Auenson, and Elizabeth Picard Landry, and one much loved granddaughter, Riki Jo Legnon Leader. She is survived by her children, Theresa Legnon Edens and David, Roland J. Legnon and Kenneth P. Legnon and Patty. Grandchildren; David Edens Jr. and Autumn, Debbie Edens Humphreys and Charles, Roland 'Buddy' Legnon Jr. and Crystal, Brandye Legnon Goudeaux and Steve, Kenneth P. Legnon Jr. and Syria, Brian Lauret, and 14 great grandchildren. Pallbearers Kenneth Legnon, Roland Legnon, Buddy Legnon, Charles Humphreys Sr., Charles Humphreys Jr., David Edens Jr.. Honorary pallbearers: David Edens Sr., Matt Humphreys and Davin Edens. Friends may call at Ibert's Funeral Home in Franklin on Sunday, June 27th from 7pm to 8pm and from 10am until time of services at 11am on Monday, June 28th.
