SIMMONS, KEVIN R. 

Kevin R. Simmons, 59, a Baton Rouge native and Berwick resident, died at 2:10 p.m. Wednesday at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans.

Simmons was a safety instructor and an ordained Baptist minister.

A private graveside service was held Saturday at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Simmons; two sons, Matt Simmons and Jonathan Simmons; two sisters, Sharon Adams and Robin Koentop; and two brothers, Kenneth Simmons and David Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements were handled by Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.
