Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1007.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Ibert's Mortuary for Mrs. Florence Picard Bourque, 74, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 1:23 AM at Franklin Foundation Hospital. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Cemetery in New Iberia. Father Lloyd Benoit, of the Church of the Assumption, will officiate the service. Mrs. Florence is survived by eight children, Charles Bourque, Sr., Whitney Bourque, Jr., and Melissa Patty, all of Franklin, Martha Martin of Kermit, TX, Florence Viator of Lafayette, Debra Smith of Livingston, Judy Cranche of New Iberia, and Brenda Picard of Baytown, TX; family friend and caregiver, Jessica Glenn of Franklin; two brothers, Ray Picard and Rivers Picard, both of Franklin; three sisters, Elizabeth Migues of Franklin, Joyce Champagne of Charenton, and Hazel Ortez of Baytown, TX; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitney Junius Bourque, Sr.; her parents, Ferdinand Picard and Celivia Waguespack Picard; one grandson, Norman Hebert, Jr.; one sister, Mae Comeaux; and one brother, Raymond Picard, Sr. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Monday, July 12, from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM at Ibert's Mortuary, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM.
