CARSON, OLIVER 

Mr. Oliver Carson, 67, a resident and native of the St. Joseph Community, died 
Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 5:45 p.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital 
following a short illness.

He is survived by his mother, Eleanor Edwards Carson of St. Joseph; one son, 
Core Johnson of Dallas; three brothers, James Carson Jr. and wife, Mattie, of 
St. Joseph; Jeff Carson and wife, Hellen, of Baldwin; and Freddie Carson of 
Ashton; two sisters, Mary L. Carson of St. Joseph and Geraldine Carson Ceasar 
and husband, Danny, of Missouri City; and one grandchild.

Mr. Carson was preceded in death by his father, four sisters and one brother.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, July 31, from 8 to 9:30 a.m., at Otis 
Mortuary Chapel and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in 
Charenton.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
Paul Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
