CHERAMIE, EULA MAE L. "MAE MAE"

Eula Mae L. "Mae Mae" Cheramie, 89, an Amelia native and Lockport resident, died Sunday.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Visitation will resume Thursday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will follow in the St. Andrew Cemetery in Amelia.

She is survived by one son, Palmer "Poochie" Cheramie; two stepsons, Russel Cheramie and Clarence Cheramie Jr.; one daughter, Maenell "Minnie" Douglas; two stepdaughters, Willa Mae Rodriguez and Gladys Plaisance; one brother, Phillip Lajaunie; one sister, Olive Portier; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one son-in-law, three brothers and three sisters.

She was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church and a member of the Holy Savior Ladies Altar Society.

Falgout Funeral Homes of Lockport is in charge of the arrangements.
