MARCOTTE, ALVIN 

Alvin Marcotte, 80, a native of Charenton and a resident of Baldwin died, July 
16, 2010 at the Franklin Foundation Hospital .

Alvin is survived by his wife, Gloria Lange Marcotte of Baldwin; one son, Blaine 
Marcotte of Baldwin; two daughters, Marla Wray and her husband, Percy, of Baton 
Rouge , and Jill Marcotte of Baldwin ; five grandchildren, Stephen Wray, Jimi 
Simoneaux, Austin Carlin, Raven Marcotte, and Riley Marcotte; and one great 
grandson, Liam Sonnier.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alexis Oniel Marcotte; his mother, 
Annies Story Marcotte; five brothers, Robert, McKinley, James, Ernest, and Elmer 
Marcotte; and one sister, Ruth Burgess.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Monday, July 19, 2010 from 10 
am to 1 pm at the Little Pass Baptist Church in Charenton.

Funeral Services for Alvin will be held on Monday, July 19th at 1 pm at the 
Little Pass Baptist Church in Charenton with Brother Bobby Hodnett officiating 
the services. Burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery .

Acting as pallbearers will be, Austin Carlin, Kent Bailey, Justin Couvillier, 
Justin Sonnier, Pete Armstrong, and Larry Lewis. Honorary Pallbearers are 
Stephen Wray and Troy Bourgeois.
