He was born April 30, 1922, in Franklin, the son of the late Joseph Millet and Edna Millet Stevens. He and his family have resided on the Eastern Shore of Maryland for the past 40 years. Harold was a retired tugboat captain and continued to enjoy a life on the water, including boating, crabbing and fishing. Harold was an avid Baltimore Orioles fan who also enjoyed spending time with his family, to whom he was affectionately known as Pop-Pop. He leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Grace, and three daughters, Diane Hinnant of Columbus, Georgia; Debra Chance and her husband, Thomas, of St. Michaels, Maryland; and Donna Black and her husband, Russell, of Trappe, Maryland. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Matthew and Garrett Hinnant; Scott, Jason and Brandon Chance; and Danielle Black Kaiser and Ashley Black. He will also be lovingly remembered by eight great grandchildren, Lauren and Devyn Hinnant; Caitlin, Stephanie, and "Baby" Ben Chance; and Nicole, Joshua, and Abigail Kaiser. Harold has one surviving brother, Roy, and his wife, Ophelia, of Franklin, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Warren, both of Franklin. A celebration of Harold's life will be held, July 10, in Easton, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Talbot Hospice Foundation, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD, 21601.
