He attended Subiaco Academy in Arkansas and graduated from Holy Savior Menard Central High School in 1979, where he was a member of the football team and participated in several theatrical productions. He was a member of the Alexandria Aquatic and Racquet Club Swim Team for many years. Emile worked as a Financial Advisor with Oestriecher Financial Management Services and was a member of the MacArthur Drive Lions Club. He was a member of Troop 6, Boy Scouts of America, earning the Eagle Scout Award in 1979, and served as Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 6. He later served as an adult leader in a Boy Scout Troop in New Hampshire. Emile was preceded in death by his sister Liesl Michele, who died in 1969 from Cystic Fibrosis, and his grandparents, Emile and Edna Montgomery Oestriecher of Alexandria, LA and Rivers and Marie Rivette Breaux of Franklin. He is survived by his parents, Emile and Audrey Oestriecher; his sister, Anne Oestriecher; his brother, Kurt Oestriecher and his wife, Sandy, and their children, Garrick and Liesl, all of the Alexandria area; and his extended family, Matthew Berent and his wife, Elizabeth, and their children of Dayton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (4721 W. Napoleon Ave, #207, Metairie, LA 70002) or Boy Scout Troop 6 Scholarship Fund (181 DeWitt Lane, Alexandria, LA 71302). Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 20, from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., at John Kramer & Son in Alexandria. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. in St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, with the Rev. Adam Travis officiating, with entombment at Alexandria Memorial Gardens. ===================
