Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1008.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Lockwood Joseph Bonin Sr. a native of Loreauville and a resident of Bayou Vista passed away on Friday, August 6, 2010 at Franklin Foundation Hospital. Lockwood served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was a member of both the American Legion and the V.F.W. Lockwood never met a stranger and loved to be around people. His family and friends will truly miss him. Lockwood is survived by six daughters: Linda Cole and her husband, Don of Bayou Vista, Ginger Roy and her husband, Sterling of Bayou Vista, Roberta Verrett and her husband Gil of Harvey, Jackie Rotollo and her husband, Larry of Patterson, Carolyn Couvillier of Harvey and Heidi Gardner of Franklin; one sister, Laura Alfred and her husband, Calvin of Morgan City; 33 grandchildren: Johnny, Tammy, Locky, Dustin, Brittany, Ashley, Gabrielle, Jesse, Ponch, Penny, Stephanie, Brandi, Danielle, Sherrie, Kacy, Lana, Jennifer, Deanna, John, Phillip, Travis, Eve, Christina, Samantha, Kayla, Joey, Bob, Resse, Amy, Darryl, Scott, Logan, Olivia and numerous great grandchildren. Lockwood was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Lucille Latiolais Bonin; wife, Marie Sampey Bonin; two sons: Lockwood Jr. and Curtis Bonin; four brothers: Anthony, Cline, Arthur, Tony and three sisters: Lilly, Vivian and Lorena. Visitation will be today, Monday, August 9, 2010 at Twin City Funeral Home starting at 6pm until 9pm and resuming at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 8am until 9:30am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10am. Lockwood will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery with full military honors performed by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad. Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. ===================
