Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1008.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Ibert's Mortuary in Patterson for Emely Blanco Champagne, 72, a native of Morgan City, former longtime resident of Patterson, and a resident of Lake Charles for the past 17 years, who passed away Monday, August 9, 2010, at 7:20 AM at Christus St. Patrick's Hospital in Lake Charles. Burial will follow in Ibert's Memorial Park Cemetery in Patterson. Fr. Angelo Cremaldi will officiate the services. Ms. Emely is survived by three daughters, Beatrice C. Hill and her husband, Fred, of Lake Charles, Donna Champagne of Lake Charles, and Claudine C. Hargrave and her husband, Ellis, of Kaplan; one brother, Calvin Blanco of Morgan City; one sister, Hilda Boudreaux of Patterson; six grandchildren, Adrine and Gabriel Champagne, Ellis and Frank Hargrave, Theresa Allemang, and Elizabeth Hill; and eight great grandchildren, Anna, Justin, Lexie, Taylor, Kaitlyn, and Jesse Allemang, and Austin and Jacob Hargrave. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Francis Champagne; son-in-law, Francis Hetherwick; her parents, Joe and Theola Blanco; and one brother, Ernest Blanco. The family requests that visiting hours be observed Friday, August 20, from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM, with the rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM. Visiting will resume Saturday morning at Ibert's Mortuary at 8:00 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. ===================
