EMBODY, CHARLES JAY 

Jay Embody, 67, passed away August 1, 2010, in San Antonio, Texas.

Jay was born April 15, 1943, in Rhinelander, Wis., to Joanna and Myron Palmer 
Embody, both deceased.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennie, of Santa Cruz, Calif.; his son, Michael, 
of Bellevue, Wash., and their mother, Jeanette, also of Bellevue, Wash.

Jay also is survived by his sisters, Julie Shank of San Antonio, Texas, and Kate 
Hiddleston of Bend, Ore.; and his brother, Stephen, of Auburn, Calif.

Jay leaves behind his loving companion, Christine G. Syphers, and too many 
friends to mention in California, San Antonio and Patterson, La., where he 
graduated from high school in 1961.

After high school Jay attended LSU in Baton Rouge and the University of 
Louisiana at Lafayette, and later had a career as a loan officer and regional 
manager with Household Finance Corp. (HFC), from which he retired after 27 
years, in 1993.
