Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1009.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Wilson P Pendas, 90, a native of Plaquemine, LA and a long time resident of Morgan City passed away Thursday, September 16, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his family. Wilson was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Morgan City and served his church in many capacities. He was Chairman of the Board of Trustees, served on the Finance committee, Sunday School secretary and most anything that needed care. He was a Samaritan in his own right giving aid to any and all in need. He was the owner and operator of Wilson Pendas Insurance Agency for 53 years. Wilson enjoyed his career as a State Farm Insurance agent. He loved people and could talk to anyone. Wilson was a member of the Life Underwriters Association and received the designation of Life Underwriter Training Council. Wilson enjoyed his family and taking care of his backyard garden. He is survived by three daughters: Sylvia Whiting and her husband Sherman of Morgan City, Kaye Holman of South Carolina, and Sandra Blanchard and her husband Jay of Morgan City; one son Albert Pendas and his wife Nancy of Morgan City; four grandchildren: Debbye Malpass, Matt Pendas, Jill Pendas and Sarah Whiting and four great-grandchildren: Colby Pendas Lyons, Maci Pendas and Caroline Pendas and Olivia Patterson; two sisters: Jeanette Ford of Pineville and Aline Devillier of Plaquemine. Wilson is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Mary "Lib" Pendas, a son Samuel, a daughter Elaine, and his parents Samuel and Regina Tircuit Pendas. Visitation will be at Hargrave Funeral Home on Monday, September 20, 2010, from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Visitation will continue Tuesday, September 21, 2010, from 9:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church with a service at 2:00 P.M. He will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. His family covets your prayers during this time. ===================
