Ratcliff, 87, a native and resident of Morgan City passed away Saturday, Sept. 4th surrounded by her family. Mrs. Ratcliff was a founding and active member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Morgan City. She loved her church and was a committed member of the Ladies Altar Society, the church cleaning crew and a bereavement committee. She was an active member of the St. Mary Chapter of AARP and served on its board of directors. Between her AARP trips and church work, Mrs. Ratcliff could frequently be found calling Bingo at the Morgan City Nursing home. Mrs. Ratcliff led a very active life and didn't like to stay in one place too long. She loved to travel and didn't have to be asked twice to accompany one of her family members or friends on an outing. Shirley M. Ratcliff was a wonderful cook and one of her greatest joys was cooking a holiday meal for her family. She will be lovingly remembered for her special oyster dressing, a family secret she has passed to her children and grandchildren. This wonderful lady will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Ratcliff is survived by her children, Randolph C. "Randy" Ratcliff Jr. and his wife Barbara, Ronald "Ronnie" Ratcliff Sr. and his wife Sandra, Elsie R. Gaudet and her husband Bobby, Susan R. Leon and her husband Norris, her daughter-in-law, Michelle F. Ratcliff, her brother Marshall Mayon and his wife Liz and sister-in-law Aline J. Mayon. Ratcliff, her granddaughter Rachel Ratcliff, her brothers A.J.
