He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margie Solar LeBlanc; his sons, Elfrey James "Lee" LeBlanc and Benjamin Paul "Benny" LeBlanc, all of Morgan City. Elfrey was the son of the late Paul Acklen and Mary Effie Anslem LeBlanc. Paul Acklen, his father, along with Mr. Harvey Lewis, were the organizers of the first Blessing of the Fleet, the precursor of today's Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival and Blessing of the Fleet. Elfrey A. LeBlanc, the deceased, served as the festival's first king in 1942, and Elfrey's son, Lee, served as king in 1997. After graduation in 1949, Elfrey began his 61-year career as a printer. He served in the U. S. Army's 101st Airborne Division, stationed in Germany from 1951-53, then returned to Morgan City where he resumed his printing career at King-Hannaford Printing. In 1983, Delta Printing of Morgan City was established by his wife, Margie, and became the family business located on Front Street. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 402 Third Street, Morgan City, on Saturday, October 23, 2010, and will conclude with a Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Elfrey's remains were cremated. Interment will take place privately at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to the Sacred Heart Church Maintenance Fund. ===================
