SPRUILL, WILLIAM NEIL 

Services for W. Neil Spruill, 87, of Flint, Texas are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. 
Saturday, October 30 in the Chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home, with the 
Rev. Tom Pesnell officiating. Burial will be at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery.

Mr. Spruill passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in Tyler. 

He was born September 1, 1923 in Morehead, Mississippi to the late George C. and 
Agnes L. Barrett Spruill Sr. 

He has lived in Tyler the past 20 years, having also lived in Terrell. He was a 
meat market manager for Brookshire Grocery in Tyler for over 30 years, served in 
the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theatre during WWII and was a longtime member of 
County Line Baptist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Lee Spruill.

Survivors include a son, Neil Dennis Spruill of Flint; two daughters, Patricia 
Gail Kraft of Henderson and Sherry Lee Williams of Terrell; a sister, Edna Joyce 
Walker of Winnsboro; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday 
evening.
