TAYLOR, EDITH P. 

Edith Peterson Taylor, 82, a native of Franklin, long time resident of Thibodaux 
and present resident of Spring, Texas, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010.

She was a graduate of Franklin High School and LSU in Baton Rouge. She began her 
career as a teacher at Patterson High School, then moved to Thibodaux where she 
served as Lafourche Parish librarian and librarian at Nichols State University.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Taylor of Spring, Texas; daughter, 
Virginia (Ginger) Taylor Champagne and her husband, Troy, and their children, 
Skyler, Slade and Sawyer Champagne of Spring; son, William (Bill) Taylor and his 
wife, Pam, and their children, Emma and Catie of Baton Rouge; son, Louis Taylor 
and his wife, Amanda, and their children, Kennedy and Jackson Taylor of 
Thibodaux.

Also surviving her are three sisters, Betty Peterson, Marguerite Robinson and 
her husband, Rodger, and Peggy Bodin and her husband, Lionel, all of Franklin; 
two brothers, Tommy Peterson and wife, Gay, of Arlington, Texas and James 
Peterson and his wife, Gloria, of Broussard.

Edith was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Anderson Peterson and 
Louis Peterson Sr.; and brothers, Louis Peterson Jr., Robert Peterson and Tracy 
Peterson.

Memorial services were held Monday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m., at First United 
Methodist Church in Franklin.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date.

Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
