He is survived by one son, Edward Williams of Glencoe; three daughters, Rosalyn Bowie Flemmings and Lisa Williams of New Iberia and Pamela Williams of Beaumont, Texas; three brothers, Alton Lewis of Franklin, Gus Bowie Jr. of Baldwin and McKinley Bowie of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Drucella Bowie of Berwick, Geraldine and Jane Bowie of Franklin; six grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Mr. Bowie was preceded in death by his parents, four daughters, one son, two sisters and two brothers. Visitations will be observed Saturday, Nov. 27, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Ashton. Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Edward Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery in Baldwin. The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations. ===================
