She lost her battle after a lengthy illness with her family by her side on November 6, 2010, in Midwest City, Okla., at the age of 37. Jessica was a warm and caring person with the gift to make anyone laugh. Before devoting her life to the care of her mother, Jessica spent 10 years as an employee of the St. Mary Parish School Board as a school bus driver. While employed with the school board, Jessica became a licensed practical nurse. Jessica is survived by her mother, Lois Sauce Meranto; one brother, Glyn "Gabe" Meranto II; one sister, Jani Serio and her husband, Tony, of Bossier City; two nieces, Emma Camferdam of Bossier City and Zayla Meranto of Spencer, Okla.; two nephews, Gage Serio of Bossier City and Lelend Meranto of Spencer, Okla.; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She also is survived by her godchild, Hallie Billiot. She was preceded in death by her father, Glyn G. Meranto; and one brother, Gabriel Meranto. She warmed the heart of all who knew her and will be dearly missed. A private ceremony was held on November 6, 2010. The family appreciates everyone's prayers and support. ===================
