VINING, RUEL MITCHELL 
February 16, 1936 - October 29, 2010 

Ruel Mitchell Vining , a resident of Bayou Vista born in Natchez, Miss., passed 
away in Houma on Oct. 29, 2010, at the age of 74.

Ruel is survived by his son, Ciro Vining and his wife, Kim, of Mobile, Ala.; his 
daughters, Jacqueline Reynaud and her husband, Patrick, of Houston; Christine 
Carlisle and her husband, James, of Mobile, Ala.; his stepdaughter, Jennifer 
Callahan; and his companion, Joyce Tate, of Bayou Vista.

Ruel also is survived by his sisters, Louise Scott and Sara Williams; his 
brothers, Lawrence Vining , Cleo Scott and Leo Scott; 11 grandchildren; five 
great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Pauline Vining ; his three 
brothers and two sisters; and Joanne Vining Thompson.

Visitation and funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Hargrave 
Funeral Home in Morgan City.
