Falgout September 7, 1930 - December 10, 2010 Waldo J. Falgout, 80, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City surrounded by his loving wife and family. Waldo was a master carpenter. He loved his work and his life was centered around his family and his work. He was involved in many construction projects in the area, including the Front Street seawall, bank foundations, several family homes, bridges and, for a while, on the Alaska pipeline. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends. He was a veteran of World War II. Waldo is survived by his wife of 28 years, Anna Belle Aucoin Falgout; two sons, Wilton Sampey of Morgan City, and Robert Sampey and his wife, Karen, of Morgan City; four daughters, Waldine Dupre and her husband, Rachel, of Schriever, Irma Williams and her husband, Charles, of Amelia, Angela Richards and her husband, Dennis, of Morgan City, and Deidra Guidry and her husband, Calvin, of Stephensville; and three brothers, Roland Falgout of Morgan City, James Falgout of Bayou L'Ourse, and Jerry Falgout of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Filice Boudreaux Falgout; a sister, Geraldine Terri; a brother, Earl Falgout; a daughter, Rebecca Falgout; and a sister-in-law, Sandra Falgout. Visitation today, Monday, December 13, 2010, will be from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel in Morgan City, continuing Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at 9 a.m. A service of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010. Waldo will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery, where the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad will provide full military honors at graveside. ===================
