Peterson, a native and life long resident of Patterson, LA, born September 27, 1927, passed away on December 20th at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City, LA. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeannine Ganucheau Peterson, his children, Kirk and his wife Janice Cayce Peterson, Kim, Kevin and his wife Inger E. Peterson, and Karla Peterson Adams and her husband Dr. Robert A. Adams III; five grandchildren, Brian Rappmundt, Christina Peterson Aucoin and her husband Timothy Aucoin, Cayce Peterson, Lt. Mary Peterson, and Leah Peterson; and a great-grandson, Jake. His love and appreciation of nature was reflected in all that he placed his eyes on, whether it was a beautiful face or a timeless picture that caught his attention. As an accomplished photographer, he possessed a talent that allowed anyone who viewed his pictures an opportunity to share in the same miracles that he saw daily. He was an avid fisherman that spent countless days roaming the bayous of the Atchafalaya Basin and capturing its glorious scenes. Clyde's life was filled with many accomplishments, some of which included serving our country in the United States Navy. After serving in the Navy, he furthered his education and he began his life with his family in Patterson where he went into business for himself. During this time, he built an unsurpassed legacy including serving over 23 years in the Patterson Volunteer Fire Department, four years as Patterson Alderman and mayor pro-tem, and four years as President of Appaloosa Horse Association. In later years, he supported the Sherriff's Department as an active volunteer. But his greatest accomplishment was the joy and love that he brought to his family, his friends and everyone that he met with "a few minutes to talk". The family requests that visitation be observed Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 9am until time of services at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson with a rosary being prayed at 10:15am. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, December 22nd at 11am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson with burial following in the church cemetery. Father Donovan Labbe will officiate the services. ===================
