Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2010/sm1012.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Louis Adam Topham, 88, a life time resident of Morgan City passed to his new life Wednesday, December 8, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Louis served his country in the U. S. Army during World War II and was active in campaigns in Southern France, Rhineland, and Central Europe WDGO. A graduate of the Army Cooks and Bakers School at Ft. Sam Houston, he served from 1940 to 1945. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion and AARP. Louis enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, crabbing, camping and boat racing in the Atchafalaya River long ago. His family was first, he would cook for family gatherings and greatly enjoyed his children, grand and great- grandchildren and politics. Louis was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church. He retired as Maintenance Supervisor for Kerr-McGee. Louis was married to his loving wife Agnes Giroir Topham for 64 years. He is survived by three sons, Willie Topham and his wife Pricilla of Bayou Vista, Russell Topham of Morgan City, and Leroy Bailey and his wife Brigetta of Indonesia; two daughters, June "cookie" Topham of Morgan City and Viola "Pinky" Daigle and her husband Larry of Bayou Vista; eighteen grandchildren and twenty three Great Grandchildren; and one Great -Great Grandchild. Louis is preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Viola Boudreaux Topham; his wife Agnes; a son Louis Topham, Jr.; a grandson Lawrence Topham; four brothers Oliver Topham, Charles Topham, Baby Willie Topham and Baby Topham; Daughter-in- Law Donna Sue Oncale Topham ,and a Sister-in-law Stella Topham. Visitation will be at Hargrave Funeral home Friday, December 10, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.; continuing Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Hargrave Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.; with a service of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. The East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad will conduct full graveside military honors. He will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. ===================
