BARTLEY, ERNEST, JR.

Mr. Ernest Bartley Jr., 91, a resident and native of Charenton, died Tuesday, 
December 28, 2010, at 7:39 a.m., at his residence following a short illness.

He is survived by three sons, Rufus and Darrell Bartley of Charenton and John 
Walter Bartley of Port Arthur, Texas; four daughters, Cecile M. Bartley and 
Joyce Keal of Charenton, Enola Abraham and Jane Harding of Baldwin; 24 
grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; and 14 great great grandchildren.

Mr. Bartley was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, two sons 
and one grandson.

Visitations will be observed Tuesday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Mt. 
Pleasant Baptist Church in Charenton.

Burial rites will be read Tuesday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with the Rev. Paul 
Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
