His greatest love was our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with his three sons' right up there with Him. His children were his eyes. Jared was an athlete, often seen doing the Jared shuffle from his home in Berwick to the Holiday Inn and back. When he wasn't seen jogging-he was biking the Spanish Trail. Prayer time was combined with weight lifting every day. He was a gentle giant of a man with a heart of solid gold. Jared is survived by his broken hearted family, his wife of 26 years, Jean P. Bergeron; three sons: Lewis Skidmore Waller V of Berwick, Jared Michael Bergeron and his wife, Rebekah of New Iberia and Ryan Levi Bergeron of Berwick; three brothers: James Bergeron and his wife, Francis of Bayou Vista, Joseph Bergeron of Patterson and John Bergeron; two sisters: Danielle Overland and her husband, Terry of Katy, TX, Catherine Sharp and her husband, James of Bayou Vista. Jared is also survived by his mother-in-law, Louise Paysinger of Morgan City, two sister-in-laws, Jill Bross of Berwick and Judy Neal of Morgan City along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jared was preceded in the hereafter by his beloved parents, Jared L. and Catherine Bergeron Sr. and his brother, Patrick Bergeron, father-in-law, A.C. Paysinger and two brother-in-laws, Alan Paysinger and Paul Neal. The Bergeron family wishes to express a heartfelt thanks to the unknown person that found him and called it in; Morgan City Volunteer Fire Dept., you guys are the best, Acadian Ambulance, Berwick Police Dept. and Dr. Kiffe and the trauma team at Teche Regional Medical Center. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home starting at 2pm until 6pm with a memorial service beginning at 4pm. ===================
