BLANKS, MARGIE 

Miss Margie Blanks, 47, a resident and native of Franklin, died Sunday, December 
26, 2010, at 7:10 a.m., at Franklin Health Care Center following a short 
illness.

She is survived by companion, Christopher Gunner Sr. of New Iberia; mother, 
Letha M. Blanks of Franklin; one son, Christopher J. Blanks of Franklin; one 
daughter, Christiana L. Blanks of Franklin; four brothers, William, Gerald and 
Charles Blanks of Franklin and Calvin Spain Jr. of Norfolk, Virginia; and one 
sister, Agnes Blanks Burrell of Franklin.

Miss Blanks was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Visitations will be observed Wednesday, Jan. 5, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Mt. 
Zion Baptist Church.

Burial rites will be read Wednesday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
Noah Smith Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in 
Franklin.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
