Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1101.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Virginia Fields Fangue a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Virginia served her country during WWII as a Corporal in the Marine Corp. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Roland Sr., and caring mother to her children by serving as a den mother in the Boy Scouts of America as well as serving as a member of the Catholic Committee on Scouting. She was a member of the St. Mary Parish AARP Chapter along with being a member of the Louisiana Retired Teachers Association. She was a devout catholic and parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and was active in the Samaritans of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She also was an Alumni of UL of Lafayette. Virginia lived a full and wonderful life and she will be missed by her family and friends. Virginia is survived by four sons: Roland J. Fangue Jr. of Covington, James Fangue of Kaufman of TX with his wife, Patricia, Robert Fangue of Lafayette and his wife, Angela and William Fangue of Lafayette and his wife, Lori; four daughters: Katherine Fobbs of Dallas and her husband, Willie, Elaine Weise of Phoenix, Margaret Kreider of Morgan City and her husband, Dean and Jane Anthony of New Iberia and her husband, Leroy; 18 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; one sister, Marion Romaire of Morgan City and her husband, Richard along with numerous nieces and nephews. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Roland John Fangue Sr., her parents, Eli and Luda Fields, one son, Michael Fangue and one sister, Katherine Michel. Visitation will be on Monday, January 31, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church starting at 9am until 11am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am and Virginia will be laid to rest it the Morgan City Cemetery following the mass. She will be laid to rest with full military honors provided by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad. Virginia's pall bears will be the following: Roland Fangue Jr., James Fangue, Robert Fangue, William Fangue, Dean Kreider and Leroy Anthony.
