Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1101.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Edmond Johnson, Jr., a native of Morgan City, La., and a resident of New Orleans, La., was born on June 13, 1949, to late Edmond Johnson, Sr., of Morgan City, and the late Leola Kemp Johnson of Verdunville, La. He was reared in Morgan City by his paternal grandparents, the late Henry Johnson, Jr. and Alzina Johnson. Edmond departed this life on Saturday, January 1, 2011 at the age 61, at 10:32 PM at John Hainkel Home in New Orleans after a lengthy illness. Visitation will be Monday, January 10, 2011 at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City from 9:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in the Morgan City Cemetery. Edmond leaves to cherish his memories his three daughters, Saundra Johnson and Felicia Johnson both of St. Louis, Missouri and Lakiesha Jackson of Port Arthur, Tx; three grandchildren, three aunts, Frances (Thomas) Bryant and Phillice Johnson of Port Arthur, and Idell Johnson of Morgan City; four uncles, Sullivan (Climmie) Johnson, of Port Arthur, Henry (Dorothy) Johnson, III of Morgan City, Earl (Dianne) Johnson of Patterson and Herbert (Lee Esther) Johnson of Gibson; and a host of cousins and friends. Edmond was preceded in death by a son, Michael Jackson of Port Arthur, his parents, Edmond Johnson, Sr. and Leola Kemp Johnson and his grandparents. ===================
