A Celebration of Ted's Life will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at 11 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Canton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Full military rites will be conducted at the church following the services. The Elias Funeral Home in Streator, Ill., is assisting the family with the arrangements. Born Sept. 23, 1924, in Patterson, he was the son of Roy H. and Mary V. (Mount) Nuttall Sr. He married Niki Vannier Gohs on Sept. 22, 1984, who survives him. Also surviving are children, Anita Jan (Raymond) Dawson of Troy, N. C., Terry Gordon Nuttall of Rock Springs, Wyo., Donna Marie Bowerman of Clovis, Calif., Beth Lynn Mayer of Tehachapi, Calif., and stepson William (Rebecca) Gohs of St. Louis, Mo. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; his brother, Roy H. Nuttall Jr. of Patterson; and 11 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sisters, Mary Virginia Minceman and Noelie Elizabeth Vetter; and a brother, John Mount Nuttall. Ted was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Army Air Corps, and he was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was a flight test inspector and did research and development for various military aircraft, worked for Hughes Aviation and Northrup, and retired from Owens Illinois Glass Manufacturing in Streator.
