PHILLIPS, HORACE J. 

Mr. Horace James Phillips, 67, a resident of Baldwin and native of the Pleasant 
Hill Community, died Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011, at 9:55 a.m., at Franklin 
Foundation Hospital following a short illness.

He is survived by four brothers, Barry E. Phillips and Gerard D. Phillips of the 
Pleasant Hill Community, Edgar C. Phillips of Sugar Land, Texas and Terrell W. 
Phillips of Galveston, Texas; and three sisters, Susan M. Joseph of Charenton, 
Barbara Ann Lanceslin and Robin M. McCullough of Galveston, Texas.

Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the 
Otis Mortuary Chapel.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. 
Willie Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in 
Four Corners.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
