Florabeth was a graduate of Franklin High School in 1940 and was the owner of the Beauty Box in Centerville, LA, where she enjoyed working and socializing with her clients and friends for many years, but her primary role in life was wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Florabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Florene Gordy. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, first and foremost: her beloved, loyal husband of 59 years, Hollis Sandridge of Centerville; along with their four daughters, Joan Hill of Pineville, Donna Sandridge of New Iberia, Gaynell Spurgeon of Alexandria, and Lisa Lischka of Los Gatos, CA; as well as two sisters, Charlotte Hammonds of Lake Charles and RoseMarie Baugher of Houston, TX. Florabeth also leaves behind four grandchildren, Wendy Hill, Heather Dujay, Cody Walden, Kerrin Lanahan; and five great grandchildren whom she adored dearly. Our precious Florabeth will be deeply missed by all family members and the many friends who were ever so fortunate enough to have known her. Her family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to a favorite charity of choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Franklin Foundation Hospital, her physician, Dr. Roland Degeyter, and the staff of the Franklin Health Care Center for the love and special care provided to our Florabeth. The family has requested that private services be held, and in doing so, realize that so many wish to share in their sorrow and joy. They simply ask for your continued prayers, the occasional visits, and shared memories. Afterall, it is the little things that are born in the heart that really matter. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ibert's Mortuary, Inc. ===================
