Elise was married in 1939 to the love of her life, Edmond Vicknair, who passed away in 1994. She loved her family and was always ready to "lend a hand" where needed. She loved to cook, and holiday cooking (Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas) brought out her best and was looked forward to by her family. Elise also enjoyed gardening and working in her yard and was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons, L. J. Vicknair and his wife, Let, and Edmond Vicknair Jr.; her daughters, Agatha Vicknair Wiggins and her husband, Terry, and Carol Vicknair Theriot; a sister, Admonse Thibodeaux McElroy; 11 grandchildren; 20 greatgrandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. Elise is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Theresa Ford Thibodeaux; her husband, Edmond Vicknair Sr.; a daughter, Elise Vicknair Weaver; three brothers; and three sisters. A time of reflection and remembrance will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. today, Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel, and will continue Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. A service of Christian burial will begin at 11 a.m. in the Hargrave Funeral Home Chapel. ===================
