WILLIAMS, LAURA A. 

Mrs. Laura A. Williams, 68, a resident and native of Charenton, died Thursday, 
Jan. 6, 2011, at 7:58 a.m., at the Franklin Health Care Center following a short 
illness.

She is survived by one son, James Robert Williams Jr. of Dallas, Texas; three 
brothers, Elridge Nelson and wife, Wanda, of Austin, Texas, Berlin Nelson and 
wife, Paulette, of Dallas, Texas and Eugene Nelson of Jeanerette; two sisters, 
Emma Dell Pierre of Charenton and Ruth Lewis of Denver, Colorado.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and 
two brothers.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, Jan. 15, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. 
John Baptist Church in Charenton.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. 
Ivory Williams Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
