Curtis was an educator in The St. Mary Parish School Board. Musical Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church at 6:00 PM. Visitation will be Friday, February 18, 2011 from 8:00 AM until funeral at 10:00 AM. Burial in the Morgan City Cemetery. Curtis leaves to cherish his memories; his mother, Mrs. Lannetta Brown of Annapolis, Maryland, four sisters, Mrs. Delarma Atkins of Detroit, Mich, Ms. Bonita Simms(Kyle) of Pasadena, Md., Ms. Naraniece Brown of Annapolis, MD., and Mrs. Otis (Tammy) Perry of Ventura, California., one brother, Orlando Brown, Sr., of Tarpon Spring, Fl., two devoted friends, Clarence Brown, Jr., of Morgan City and John Hunt of Centerville, La; seven godchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Tom Barber. ===================
