BUTLER, JAMES ETTA 

James Etta Butler, 83, a native and resident of Patterson, died Friday, Jan. 28, 
2011, at 5:35 a.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 7 at New Salem Baptist Church in 
Patterson from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the 
Shield Cemetery.

James leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Mary Etta Butler Johnson of 
Houston, Texas; two sisters, Annie E. Augustine of Patterson and Lizzie Cooper 
of Sacramento, California; nine grandchildren; and a host of relatives and 
friends.

Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
