GUIDRY, EUGENE "GENE" CHARLES JR. 

Eugene "Gene" Charles Guidry Jr., 77, a native of Morgan City and resident of 
Houma, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at 6:38 p.m.

He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. 

He was a Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War, and a member 
of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Welding Society, National Welding 
Supply Distributors Association and South Central Industrial Association.

He is survived by his wife, Ledora Pennison Guidry of Houma; his son, Kevin C. 
Guidry and his wife, Holly, of Houma; and his grandchildren, Kristen Guidry 
Gautreaux and her husband, Jonathan, and Kerry M. Guidry. He is also survived by 
his sister, Genevieve "Gen" Price of Morgan City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Charles Guidry Sr. and Emily 
Gros Guidry; and his brothers, Emile "Lou" Guidry Sr. and David Guidry Sr.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. at 
Chauvin Funeral Home Inc., 5899 Highway 311, Houma. Visitation will resume 
Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, from 10 a.m. until service time at St. Bernadette 
Soubirous Catholic Church. 
Burial will follow in the St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Terrebonne Children's Advocacy 
Center.

Chauvin Funeral Home Inc. of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
