Darral "Skimo" Palmature, 68, a native of Morgan City passed away Friday, 
February 9, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.

Darral was retired from McDermott Fabricators, Inc. where he worked as a 
Drilling Consultant. He was an avid golfer, loved football and was always eager 
to spend time with his Godchild. 

Generous to a fault he was loved by his family and friends. Darral enjoyed 
woodworking and was a master at finished carpentry and will be sadly missed by 
all who knew him.

He is survived by a daughter and two grandchildren, brothers Leeland Palmature 
and his wife Cathy of Bayou Vista and Anthony Palmature and his wife Shelley of 
Diamondhead, Mississippi; a sister Joanne Holliman of Morgan City and many many 
nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday February 13, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at 
Hargrave Funeral Home and continue Monday Feburary 14, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 
11:00 a.m. with a service of Christian burial at 11:00 a.m.
Darral will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
