Mrs. Mary Jane Rhodes, 84, a retired employee of the Calcasieu Parish Public 
School System, departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011 at Ormond Nursing and 
Care Center in Destrehan, La.

Mrs. Rhodes was a native of Patterson and a long time resident of Lake Charles, 
where she was a faithful member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Her memory 
will be forever cherished by her devoted nieces, nephews, good friends and other 
relatives.

A worship service honoring her life will be held at New Salem Baptist Church in 
Patterson Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 1:30 p.m. until funeral service at 3 
p.m. Burial will follow in the Patterson Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Samuel 
Calhoun officiating.

Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City is in charge of arrangements.
