Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1102.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Anita Rita Stokley a native of Pierre Part and a resident of Bayou Vista passed away at Teche Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Anita had a very compassionate heart and never met a stranger. Everyone who met her loved her personality and enjoyed her company. Anita loved spending time listening to Cajun music whenever she could. She was a very dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, her grandchildren were the spark in her eyes. For the past 20 years she has been by her husband's side taking care of him and making sure he doesn't lack for anything. She will be missed by her family and friends. Anita is survived by her husband of over 50 years, J.C. Stokley of Bayou Vista; one daughter, Sheila Blanchard and her husband, George of Stephensville; one son, Anthony Stokley of Bayou Vista; four grandchildren: Brittany, Brennan, Brooke and Bethany Blanchard; one great grandson on the way, Carsyn Blanchard; two sisters: Hilda Vidos and Dorothy Verrett along with numerous nieces and nephews. Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Elton and Mattie Verrett. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home starting at 10am until 1pm with a service beginning at 1pm. Anita will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with all the arrangements. ===================
