Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1102.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 13, 2011, at 10:30 AM at Ibert's Mortuary for Mr. Floyd Theriot, 84, a native of Bayou Chene and a longtime resident of Centerville, who passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011, at 9:40 PM at Franklin Foundation Hospital. Burial will follow in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Centerville. Pastor Juan Fresse, of New Iberia Seventh-day Adventist Church, will officiate the services. Mr. Floyd was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. He retired from United Gas after 33 years of dedicated service. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Bernice Case Theriot of Centerville; three sisters, Mavis Rogers of Irma, South Carolina, Melba Coats of North Hollywood, California, and Mazie Cooney of Eatonville, Washington; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome Theriot and Myrtle Ashley Theriot; two sisters, Mae Burguieres and Pearl Curry; and one brother, Ernest Theriot. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, February 12, at Ibert's Mortuary from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and again Sunday, February 13, from 8:00 AM until service time.
