ALEXANDER, JANET L. 

Miss Janet L. Alexander, 50, a resident of Verdunville and native of Franklin, 
died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at 4:28 a.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital 
following a short illness.

She is survived by her father, Wilfred Alexander Sr. of Franklin; two sons, 
Terrance C. Alexander of Jeanerette and Jeremy D. Alexander of Verdunville; two 
daughters, Acquianna A. Alexander of Verdunville and Gavael Alexander of 
Thibodaux; two brothers, Wilford Alexander Jr. of Bakertown and Tommy Alexander 
Sr. of Lafayette; six sisters, Dorothy Hillard, Dorethea Sam, Tina Alexander and 
Lisa Alexander of Centerville, Michelle Nerve of Verdunville and Alice Alexander 
of Sioux City, Iowa; and five grandchildren.

Miss Alexander was preceded in death by her mother, three sisters and two 
brothers.

Visitations will be observed Saturday, March 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Otis 
Mortuary Chapel.

Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 2 p.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. 
Rosie Austin officiating. Interment will follow in the Golden Queen Cemetery in 
Centerville.

The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
