Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1103.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Rosalie Guarisco Blum, 88, a native of Morgan City passed away at St. Joseph Hospice, the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Mrs. Blum is survived by her five children, Milford Blum, Jr. and his wife Fran, of Baton Rouge, LA, Carolyn Breaux, and her husband Tommy, of Morgan City, LA, Carl P. Blum and his wife Mary Ellen, of Morgan City, LA , Mary Tamporello, and her husband Louis, of Morgan City, LA and Herbert Blum and his wife Denise Puente, of New Orleans, LA; fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great- grandchildren. Rosalie is also survived by three sisters, Rosetta Boudreaux and her husband Dewey, Marie Hover, and Christine Provost and her husband Cyrus, one brother, Lee Guarisco and his wife Grace, and one brother-in-law Joe Guzzetta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milford L. Blum, Sr., one sister, Beatrice Guzzetta; one brother, Peter L. Guarisco; one brother-in-law, H.S. Hover, Jr. and by her parents, Liborio and Mary Castalano Guarisco. Rosalie was a second grade teacher at Sacred Heart Elementary School for 27 years. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM when a Mass of Christian Burial will take place. Rosalie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Holy Cross Elementary School. ===================
