Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1103.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Craig Drexler, age 57, a resident of Baton Rouge, La., and a native of Franklin, died [Friday], March 17, 2011 at Baton Rouge General Hospital. Craig was a Forklift Operator for Acme Brick. Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton, La., Saturday, March 26, 2011 from 8:00 AM until funeral at 11:00 AM. Rosary will be held at 10:15 AM. Burial held in the Memory Lawn Memorial Park in Martinvale, TX. Craig Barron Drexler's earthly life began on August 23, 1953 in Glencoe, LA. He was the fourth of eight children born to Irving Drexler, Sr. and Clara Bryant Drexler. He began his education with the St. Mary Parish Public School System and completed his education through the Job Corps in Austin, Texas. Upon completion of his training in the Job Corps, Craig resided in Austin, Texas where he married Brenda Tenorio. This union was blessed with a son and a daughter. Craig was a devoted father, and his children were his pride and joy. He loved all sports and enjoyed playing softball with several leagues throughout the Austin area. He was a diehard Cowboy fan and showed it every football Sunday by dressing out in all of his Cowboy attire. On Thursday, March 17, 2011 in Baton Rouge, LA, Craig transitioned to a new life. Several will remember his life and his love including: his son, Micheal Jason of Kyle, Texas; his daughter, Crystal Bailey (Martin) of Kyle, Texas; four grandchildren: Favian Bailey, Preness Bailey, Zoey Drexler, and Micheal Jr. of Kyle, Texas; three brothers: Irving (Magdalene) of Baldwin, LA; Charles of Ypslanti, Michigan; Donald of Houston, Texas; five sisters: Beverly Spencer of Baton Rouge, LA; Brenda of Macon, Georgia; Barbara of Glencoe, LA; Gail Lancelin (Wallace) of Baldwin, LA; and Cheryl Broussard (Harold) of Franklin, LA; three paternal uncles: Clarence, Harold, and Charles; one maternal uncle: Gilbert Bryant of New Orleans, LA; his god-mother: Daisy Broussard of Four Corners, LA; a host of nieces and nephews as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a uncle, and a nephew. ===================
