HINES, BETTY LEE A. 

Funeral services will be held for Betty Lee A. Hines, the former Betty Lee 
August, 54, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Macedonia Baptist Church in 
Ashton, La., with the Rev. Ulysses Mitchell Jr. officiating.

She will await the resurrection at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery in Four 
Corners, La.

A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday at the church from 8 a.m. 
until the time of service.

A native of Franklin and resident of Jeanerette, she passed at 6:20 p.m. on 
Monday, March 21, 2011 at Iberia Medical Center.

She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church where she served on the willing 
workers committee. She was employed at Jeanerette Mills for 19 years and an 
employee of Wal-Mart of New Iberia for 10 years.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Jimmy Hines of Baldwin; one son, 
Steven August (Lashonda Lancelin) of Jeanerette; three daughters, Sabrina August 
(Jermaine Davis), Colonda August and Stephanie August Martin (Marshall), all of 
Jeanerette; three brothers, Lionel Cerf of Four Corners and Charles Cerf of Four 
Corners and Leroy August of Webster, Texas; three sisters, Rose Archangel 
(Richard) of Jeanerette, Brenda Robertson Polidore (Jack) and Mary Cerf (Frankie 
Dugas) of Four Corners; four stepsisters, Anitra Johnson of New Iberia, Samantha 
Johnson, Shonda Johnson and Deide Joseph, all of Four Corners; four 
grandchildren, D'Antrey Lockett, Sidira Butts, Steven Lee August Jr. and Mannie 
Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She now joins in glory with her parents, Edgar Cerf Sr. and Beatrice August 
Cerf.

Active pallbearers will be Leroy August, Charles "Ray" Cerf, Jopoel Robertson, 
Jeryco Charles, Malcolm Charles Jr. and David Hines.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jermaine Davis, Frank Dugas, Steven L. August Sr., 
Clarence Jackson Sr., Dawn Phillips and Isaac Jackson.

Final arrangements entrusted to Fletcher Funeral Home of New Iberia.
