Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1103.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Nancy del Carmen Merida July 16, 1947 March 18, 2011 Nancy del Carmen Merida, 63, a resident of Morgan City and a native of, Iquique, Chile, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Nancy enjoyed working at Teche Regional Medical Center for 25 plus years and was loved by everyone there as a friend and great co-worker. She will be missed dearly by all family and friends far and near. Nancy is survived by her husband, Jose Luis Merida of Morgan City, four sons; Raul Merida and his wife Juliana of Murrieta, CA, Pedro Merida and his wife Sabrina of Morgan City, Juan Merida of Morgan City and Jose A. Merida of Morgan City. Nancy is also survived by five grandchildren; Dylan Joseph Merida, Hanna Jolie Merdia, Analys Hilda Merida, Gino Antonio Merdia and Josie Alys Merida; three brothers Scgundo Rojas, Demetrio Cheriff, Oscar Cheriff; three sisters, Ana Bastias, Margarita Rojas and Mercedes Cheriff all of Iquique, Chile. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Cheriff Cerda and Juana Castillo Cortes. The visitation will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm, resuming Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Twin City Funeral Home from 8am until 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Nancy will be laid to rest in Iquique, Chile. ===================
