Sidney Russell Rock, 59, a native of Morgan City and resident of Patterson, 
passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Terrebonne General Hospital in Houma.

Mr. Rock was born August 21, 1951 in Morgan City, the son of Uston P. and Myrtle 
Seymore Rock. On September 17, 1973 he was united in marriage to Debra Dennis 
and she survives.

Sidney had a love for his family and his grandchildren were his life. He was 
employed with Halliburton Energy Services as a Cementer for twenty seven years. 
He later worked for Jack Vilas and Associates as a Dive Hat Technician for 8 
years.

Sidney is survived by his wife, Debra Dennis Rock, of Patterson, LA; one son, 
Brant Rock, of Donner, LA; one daughter, Britt Broussard and her husband Michael 
H., of Morgan City, LA; two grandsons, Zachary Brant Smith of Walker, LA, Cole 
Michael Rock, of Morgan City, LA; one granddaughter, Olivia NiCole Broussard, of 
Morgan City, LA. He is also survived by two sisters, Christian Vilas and Joanna 
Rock; one brother, Uston E. Rock.

Mr. Rock was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Dennis Rock.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at the New Life Tabernacle 
Church starting at 6:00 PM and concluding with a funeral service at 10:00 AM on 
Wednesday, March 16, 2011 with the Rev. Terry Bonner officiating. Sidney will be 
laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.

Twin City Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
