Please go to http://usgwarchives.net/la/stmary/obits/dateobits/2011/sm1103.htm and click on the name of interest. ========== Estella Mae Sneed, age 83, a resident of Patterson and a native of New Orleans, La., died Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Patterson, from 5:30 PM until funeral service at 6:30 PM. Dismissal will be at the church Friday, April 1, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in the Providence Memorial Cemetery in New Orleans, La. Mother Estella Mae Sneed was born to Walter and Bishop Marion Gash Sneed on March 31, 1927. Mother Estella grew up in New Orleans, La. She attended Craig Elementary School until a misfortune caused her not to continue her education, but still God allowed her to have vivid knowledge of godliness. Mother Estella was christen at the New Zorah Baptist Church in Morgan City, La., and later baptized at Israel Universal Spiritual Church of New Orleans by Bishop Bessie Johnson. Her mission in the church was to serve as an Usher for over 40 years until she could no longer stand, but still she continue in the church and truly love the LORD. Mother Estella placed her membership with the New Jerusalem Church of God and Christ in Patterson, La., she served as mother of the church until her illness. Estella leaves to cherish memories; two daughters, Jean Sneed Turner of Patterson, La., and Carrie Benjamin of New Orleans, La; one son, Marion John Sneed of Patterson, La; a granddaughter, a aunt and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Charles Henry Turner, Jr. ===================
